Finding the version number of your Android or iOS device

Android:
  1. Touch the “Home” button underneath your Android’s LCD screen to go back to the “Home” screen. Then tap the “Menu” button located to the right of the “Home” button.
  2. Tap the “Settings” icon from the menu that appears on the screen.
  3. Slide your finger up your Android phone’s screen to scroll all the way to the bottom of the Settings menu. Tap “About Phone” at the bottom of the menu.
  4. Tap the “Software Information” option on the About Phone menu. The first entry on the page that loads will be your current Android software version.
    iOS:

    To determine which iOS software your device uses, go to Settings > General > About > Version.

    To update the iOS, connect your device to your computer and install the latest iOS using iTunes.

    You can install future updates from your device by tapping Settings > General > Software Update.
